I really appreciate the comments on ring side scoring. It is not the optimal view, and it seems like a reasonable amendment that will help scoring, and downstream from that the integrity of the game, etc. Of course there are drawbacks, unanticipated concerns, etc. etc., but, from a layman's pov, it seems worthwhile to me.
